Miles Macadam is proud to be featured in this month’s edition of the Institute of Highway Engineers’ (IHE) Technical Bulletin, which showcases new advancements, projects, and innovations within the highways industry. Our recent programme with Luton Borough Council highlights Miles Macadam’s expertise in delivering sustainable, low-carbon road surfacing solutions that support councils in their carbon reduction commitments. The Luton project included Miles Macadam’s low-carbon grouted macadam, Milepave™, achieving a 35% reduction in carbon emissions compared to conventional materials, and Bioseal™, which delivered an additional 21% emissions savings. The scheme also saved 239.33 tonnes of aggregates and 33 tonnes of straight-run bitumen. For the full feature in the IHE Technical Bulletin, click the link below to learn more.
