In 1986, the British Board of Agrément (BBA) granted certification to Hardicrete™ as a surface course capable of enduring heavy traffic and resisting fuel and leachate contamination. The BBA conducts regular audits of the manufacturing and installation processes of the grout utilised in Hardicrete™ to guarantee enhanced performance and quality.

Hardicrete™ is a unique surfacing material that combines the flexibility of asphalt and the strength of concrete. It consists of a 40mm deep open graded receiving course with controlled void content, which is then filled with a resin cementitious grout. This innovative process allows for a seamless surface that can be installed quickly and cures rapidly, minimising downtime for maintenance and construction projects. Hardicrete™ is highly resistant to fuels, oils, chemicals, and can withstand deformation, rutting, heat, and abrasion.

Due to its exceptional strength, Hardicrete™ is an ideal choice for demanding applications. Since its development in 1975, this flagship product has been extensively used in the UK for bus stations, waste sites, transfer stations, ports, airfields, and industrial facilities.

  • Superior resistance to deformation and rutting
  • Rapid installation
  • High resistance to fuel/leachate contamination
