It’s a landmark moment for the Miles Macadam team as we commence work on a significant resurfacing project in partnership with Cornwall Council and Cormac. Following months of detailed planning and preparation, our teams are now on site delivering improvements to a 3km stretch of the A391 North East Distributor Road in St Austell. This key bypass route plays a vital role in local connectivity, and we’re proud to be enhancing its performance and durability. The scheme involves the use of our specialist Milepave™ PMB surface treatment, with Hardipave™ being applied on the high-stress roundabouts to provide long-lasting strength in heavily trafficked areas. To maximise efficiency and minimise disruption, we’re also deploying a power feeder and running two pavers in tandem, allowing both of our teams to work simultaneously. This is a flagship project for our company and a great example of collaborative working to deliver high-quality, sustainable surfacing solutions. Check out the video below of the road before we began work, and keep an eye on our website and social channels for progress updates and videos as the scheme develops.
