As part of our continued commitment to environmental responsibility and the reduction of carbon emissions across our operations and projects, this achievement reflects our dedication to transparent and measurable climate action.
The Level 2 – Reported Status recognises organisations that have calculated and reported their emissions, including at least five sub-categories of Scope 3 activity, and whose reporting narrative aligns with SmartCarbon’s “On TRACC” reporting principles. This ensures that data is not only comprehensive but also consistent and credible in its presentation.
Reaching Level 2 demonstrates Miles Macadam’s proactive approach to understanding and managing our environmental impact, forming part of our wider sustainability strategy that includes the continual development and use of low-carbon surfacing materials such as Milepave™.
The next phase of our SmartCarbon journey will involve setting a Net Zero target, further aligning our business with national and global goals to combat climate change.
