Miles Macadam has released yet another new video capturing part of the transformation of the A391, highlighting the use of echelon paving. To minimise disruption on this busy route, the project employed echelon paving with a power feeder, operating two pavers in tandem. This approach allowed surfacing gangs to work simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards. It maximised operational efficiency and achieved a seamless finish across all three lanes of the carriageway.

The footage demonstrates the precision and expertise that went into the scheme, reflecting Miles Macadam’s commitment to innovative surfacing solutions. By combining reduced carbon materials with echelon paving techniques, the team was able to improve both the durability and sustainability of the road surface, showcasing how contemporary methods are shaping the future of highway maintenance.

Watch the video to see echelon paving in action and witness the impressive before-and-after results of this pioneering project.
